Terms & Conditions
1. General
These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by The Ink Removal Lab ("we", "us", "our") to any client ("you", "the client"). By booking an appointment, purchasing a package, or receiving treatment, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
These Terms & Conditions are designed to comply with applicable New South Wales and Australian laws, including but not limited to the Australian Consumer Law, privacy legislation, and relevant health and safety regulations for cosmetic and laser treatments.
The Ink Removal Lab reserves the right to update or amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. The most current version will always apply.
2. Eligibility for Treatment

You must be 18 years of age or older to receive tattoo removal services. Valid photo identification may be required.

We do not provide services to clients who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

You must disclose all relevant medical history, medications, skin conditions, and prior tattoo treatments during your consultation.

Certain medical conditions or medications may make treatment unsafe.
-
We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue treatment if it is deemed unsafe or unsuitable in accordance with NSW health and safety requirements.
3. Consultations & Consent

An initial consultation is required prior to treatment.

Results of tattoo removal vary depending on factors including ink colour, skin type, tattoo age, depth, location, and individual response.

Complete removal is not guaranteed.

By proceeding with treatment, you acknowledge and accept the potential risks including but not limited to blistering, swelling, redness, scarring, hypopigmentation or hyperpigmentation.

You will be required to sign an informed consent form prior to treatment.
4. Appointments & Bookings

Appointments must be booked in advance.
-
It is your responsibility to arrive on time. Late arrival may result in a shortened session or forfeiture of your appointment.
5. Cancellations & No-Shows

We require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice may result in a cancellation fee.

Failure to attend an appointment (no-show) will result in a full session charge.
6. Pricing & Payments
-
Full payment is required at the time of treatment unless otherwise agreed.
-
Package sessions must be paid in full upfront and are non-transferable and non-refundable.
7. Packages & Promotions
-
Tattoo removal packages are valid only for the individual and tattoo specified at purchase.
-
Packages have an expiry period as outlined at the time of purchase.

Promotional offers cannot be combined unless explicitly stated.
8. Aftercare & Client Responsibility
-
You agree to follow all aftercare instructions provided.

Failure to follow aftercare guidelines may increase the risk of adverse effects and may impact results.

The Ink Removal Lab is not responsible for complications arising from failure to follow aftercare advice or from external treatments.
9. Results & Outcomes
-
Tattoo removal is a gradual process requiring multiple sessions.
-
Individual results vary and are influenced by factors outside our control.

We do not guarantee full removal or a specific number of sessions.
10. Liability & Disclaimer

Treatments are performed with due care, skill, and professionalism; however, all cosmetic and laser procedures carry inherent risks.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantees or rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

To the extent permitted by law, The Ink Removal Lab is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from services provided.

You acknowledge that you have voluntarily chosen to undergo treatment after being informed of the risks and possible outcomes.
11. Photography & Marketing

With your consent, we may take photographs for medical records, progress tracking, or marketing purposes.

You may withdraw consent for marketing use at any time in writing.
12. Privacy

All personal information is collected, stored, and handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

Health-related information is treated as sensitive information and managed with strict confidentiality.
-
Client records, including consultation notes and photographs, are securely stored and accessed only by authorised personnel.

Client information will not be disclosed to third parties without consent, except where required or authorised by law.
13. Refusal of Service

The Ink Removal Lab reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service to any client who:

Provides false or incomplete information

Fails to follow aftercare or safety instructions

Acts in an abusive, aggressive, or inappropriate manner
14. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and applicable Commonwealth laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms & Conditions or services provided by The Ink Removal Lab will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
